JGSDF AAVP-7A1 RAM/RS Amphibious Rapid Deployment Brigade
The Assault Amphibious Vehicle (AAV) is a US built, fully tracked amphibious landing vehicle first introduced in 1972. Between 1985 and 1987 it was upgraded to become the AAVP-7A1.
The AAVP-7A1 is fitted with a turret mounting the .50 caliber M2HB heavy machine gun. and an 40mm MK19 automatic grenade launcher. In addition to a crew of 4 it can carry 21 fully equipped soldiers.
