JGSDF Type 96 Wheeled Armoured Personnel Carrier Type A
The Type 96 Wheeled Armoured Personnel Carrier entered service with the JGSDF in 1996.
The Type 96 has a commander's cupola fitted with either a 40mm grenade launcher (Type A) or a .50cal M2HB machine gun (Type B). This kit depicts a Type A vehicle. The Type 96 has a crew of 2 and can carry 8 infantry soldiers that can dismount via a ramp at the rear. The interior can be used to load stretchers too. The Type 96 can be driven using all 8 wheels or just the 4 rear wheels.
