Pz Kpfw 38(t) Ausf D

The Czech LT-38 was one of the most successful products of the pre-war Czech armaments industry. When the Germans took over in 1939 the Germans redesignated the vehicle Panzer 38(t).

The Ausf D was introduced in September 1940. The Germans used a crew of 4 adding a gun loader which reduced the interior capacity for ammunition.

The chassis was subsequently used to for the 15cm sIG Heavy Infantry Gun Grille, the Marder III and the Hetzer.
